Opelika, AL Dentist
Our state-of-the-art technologies ensure accuracy, efficiency, and comfort. Our dental equipment is safe, effective, and well-maintained. Some of our dental technologies include those listed below:
Our advanced digital x-rays magnify and enhance your teeth for better diagnosis and treatment. This technology allows us to take images of your teeth and display them on a computer screen quickly and easily.
With digital x-rays, we can view your teeth and surrounding structures with remarkable accuracy. These images provide the information we need to plan your dental treatment.
Digital x-rays require much less radiation than traditional film x-rays. Digital x-rays are a safe and effective dental technology.
A Panoramic x-ray machine rotates around your entire head to take a 360-degree view of your teeth, sinuses, and the bone structure of your head and jaws. This provides a more complete image than standard x-rays. Panoramic x-ray imagery is a valuable resource for Dr. Abigail Northcutt Adams to use in diagnosis and treatment planning.
The intra-oral camera is about the size and shape of a pen. It is used to record images of your teeth, gums, mouth, and tongue from inside your mouth. Due to its small size and sleek design, it is comfortable, easy to use, and able to view a wide range of angles. The intra-oral camera is a safe and effective tool that can be used with patients of every age.
The intra-oral camera is a highly valuable resource for both diagnosis and treatment planning. Each time we use the intra-oral camera, a new disposable cover is employed. This ensures your health and safety at all times. After your exam, images captured by the intra-oral camera may be digitally stored, printed out, or deleted.
Rotary Endodontics Handpiece
A rotary endodontics handpiece is a tool designed to be used in root canal therapy. By using this handpiece, we can complete the treatment gently and efficiently. This allows you to have a quicker and more comfortable treatment experience.
Our office is equipped with modern air abrasion technology. We utilize a small handheld device to blow a stream of air and tiny aluminum oxide particles against your tooth. This can be used to safely blast away tooth decay and remove surface stains. Air abrasion may also be used as part of a cosmetic or restorative treatment to prepare a tooth for bonding or to repair cracked or worn teeth.

What are JUVÉDERM® and JUVÉDERM Voluma® and how do they work?
JUVÉDERM® is a collection of cosmetic fillers, each made from hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in skin that helps it retain moisture, soft texture, and proper volume. JUVÉDERM® products are used to help restore skin to its age-correct texture and volume and to reverse the effects of wrinkles and skin volume loss.
Why should I consider JUVÉDERM® products?
Skin volume loss and wrinkling can cause your face to look tired or older than it should. By choosing treatment with JUVÉDERM® products, you can restore the youthful look and feel of your skin.
How many treatments will I need to see results?
Most patients see their desired results in only one treatment.
How long will the results last?
The results with JUVÉDERM® products generally last for about 9-12 months for a single treatment.
Is there anything I need to do after the treatment?
For the first 24 hours following treatment with JUVÉDERM® products, you should avoid strenuous exercise, extensive exposure to sun or heat, and alcoholic beverages. If this is not followed, you may experience some minor temporary redness, swelling, or itching at the injection site.
Does treatment with JUVÉDERM® products require any incisions in the skin?
No, there are no incisions required with treatment, which means that recovery time is minimal.
How will I know if JUVÉDERM® products are right for me?
Ask our doctor for a consultation and recommended treatment options. We will consider your personal goals, overall health, and any medications you are taking when advising you whether JUVÉDERM® products may be right for you.
About 1 in 5 Americans avoids going to the dentist due to dental anxiety or fear. For many of these patients, the biggest reason for their fear is pain from injections. With the VibraJect, needle fears can become a thing of the past.
The VibraJect Injection Comfort System is a small detachable tool used to administer anesthesia. Unlike a standard needle injection, however, the VibraJect applies light vibration to the area around the injection site as the anesthesia is being administered. Due to the way the brain interprets sensory information, the vibration sensation arrives first and blocks the sense of pain or injection discomfort.
VibraJect is safe to use with patients of all ages and all states of health. Many patients have gone on to say that they believe they might never have experienced dental fear at all had this revolutionary new tool been available during their childhood.
If you’ve delayed your oral care due to issues with dental anxiety or fear of pain from anesthesia needles, VibraJect is here for you. Contact our office for an appointment to get your health back on track.
